Every year the College World Series comes to Omaha. This event brings the best of the best of college baseball to Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium. During the regular season Rosenblatt Stadium hosts AAA games played by the Omaha Royals.
Omaha is host to a world class zoo that is known for the largest indoor rain forest in the world, the largest cat complex and several other amazing exhibits. For more information on this attraction visit the Henry Doorly Zoo website.
Just a few miles from Omaha, Mahoney State Park offers many recreational opportunities including camping, water slides, hiking, and arts and crafts.
The first Arbor Day was celebrated on April 10th, 1874. Since then this holiday has been observed in many states every year. This State Park in Nebraska City, the original town of Arbor Day, is found just south of Omaha off of Highway 75.
At Platte River State Park, just west of Omaha, you can take part in activities that range from swimming at the supervised pool to guided horseback trail rides through the timbered hills.
